Lroos Privacy Policy

Lroos is your personal window-view archiver for iOS, built to help you document the ever-changing scenery outside your windows across seasons, complete with weather tags, time stamps, mood notes, timeline records, and custom themed collections. Your privacy is our highest priority, and this policy outlines exactly how we handle (or more accurately, do not handle) your data when you use the Lroos app.

1. What Data We Collect

WE DO NOT COLLECT, TRANSMIT, OR STORE ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON EXTERNAL SERVERS.

All content you create within Lroos remains exclusively on your local iOS device at all times. This includes, but is not limited to:

Custom window profiles you create for home or office spaces
All window view captures you take on your scheduled timelines
Weather tags, time stamps, and personal mood notes attached to captures
Timeline browsing history and side-by-side comparison records
Themed favorite collections you organize (such as rainy day snaps or golden hour records)

We have no backend servers designed to receive your content, and no access to any data you generate within the app.

2. Permissions We Request

We only request the minimum necessary permissions to support core app functionality, and all permissions are optional:

Camera Access

Requested only when you actively initiate a window view capture. We never access your camera in the background, and photos taken within Lroos are never sent off your device unless you manually choose to share or export them.

Location Access

Optional access requested solely to fetch real-time local weather data to attach to your captures. You may deny this permission entirely and manually input weather details if preferred. We never store or transmit your location data at any point.

Photo Library Access

Requested only if you choose to export your Lroos captures to your system photo album. We do not read or access any existing photos in your library without your explicit action.

Notification Access

Optional access provided solely to alert you of your pre-set scheduled capture times. We never send promotional, marketing, or unsolicited notifications of any kind.

3. Data Storage & Security

All your Lroos data is stored in the app's local sandbox on your iOS device, protected by the device's native encryption system if you have a device passcode enabled. We have no backdoor access to your content, and no way to recover your data if you lose your device or delete the app.

If you choose to enable iCloud backup for Lroos via your iOS settings, your data will be included in your iCloud backups and subject to Apple's separate privacy policy. We have no control over data stored in your personal iCloud account.

4. Third-Party Services

Lroos contains no third-party advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or data harvesting tools of any kind. We do not share any data with third parties, as we never have access to your data in the first place.

The only external services you may interact with are native iOS features you choose to use, such as the system share sheet to send captures to other apps. Any data you share via these features is subject to the privacy policy of the relevant third-party service, which we do not control.

5. Your Control Over Your Data

You retain full, exclusive ownership and control over all content you create in Lroos. You may:

Edit, delete, or export any of your window records, notes, or collections at any time within the app
Revoke any previously granted permissions via your iOS device settings at any time
Uninstall the app entirely to permanently delete all Lroos data stored on your device

We do not impose any restrictions on your access to your own data, and will never request you to share your content with us.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect new app features or operational requirements. Any updates will be posted within the app's settings screen and will take effect on the published revision date. Your continued use of Lroos after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
